| Imagine life without sun, the ultimate source
of energy and vitality! The sun is a symbol of hope in despair
and joy in mind-numbing drudgery. Bringing this very sunshine
into the lives of rural India, TERI Uttam Urja an umbrella brand
developed under the project on 'Implementation of Renewable
Energy Technologies in rural India through NGOs', funded by
the India-Canada Environment Facility was a milestone, achieving
economic, environmental, and social sustainability. Better-lit
homes means better performance by school children, greater productivity,
diversification of business, and better health. This CD titled
TERI Uttam Urja is a journey through this initiative - an initiative
aimed at giving power to the people. |
