TERI’s water testing kit has been designed
for a wide user group including rural communities, NGOs, students,
and public authorities. It helps to evaluate some of the basic
parameters indicative of water potability.
The kit is easy to use and can be operated even by a person
with basic education. It provides an opportunity to make an
on-the-spot assessment of the water quality.
The kit has been designed to analyze 11 parameters of physiochemical
and bacteriological importance
1. pH
2. Colour
3. Odour
4. Fluoride
5. Nitrate
6. Total Hardness
7. Chlorides
8. Iron
9. Alkalinity
10. Residual chlorine
11. H2S strip (vial) test.
The kit is provided with a manual containing simple, stepwise
testing procedures along with safety instructions. It also
provides the requisite chemicals and apparatus to test at
least 25-30 samples at a time.
