Power supply in rural areas is erratic and very often, not
of the correct voltage. This causes problems running ICT kiosks.
UPS/Inverters are commonly used to overcome this problem.
But, erratic power supply also means that UPS/ Inverter batteries
cannot get charged reliably.
TERI, after a lot of research and development exercise and
feedback from the field has come out with a Hybrid Solar Power
Pack, which can curb down the power problem plaguing the running
of rural ICT centers.
Hybrid Universal Solar Power Pack (HUSPP) combines Solar-Photovoltaic
supply with normal grid supply to charge batteries. This system
ensures quality power supply for at least 4-6 hours a day.
